Erasmus +

Erasmus+ aims to support actions in the field of education, training, youth and sport for 2014-2020 period.

The seven-year program will have a budget of 14.7 billion. Erasmus+ will provide an opportunity for more than 4 million Europeans to learn, gain experience and to engage in volunteering abroad. Erasmus+ Actions are divided into centralized and decentralized action. Decentralised Actions are managed by the program in each country by the National Agencies, who are appointed by the national authorities. Centralised actions are managed at European level by the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture (EACEA), located in Brussels.

Erasmus+ possible participants:

Individuals & students, youth, volunteers, teachers, youth workers, specialists of organizations operating in the field of education.

To achieve its goals, Erasmus+ provides the following steps:

KEY ACTION 1 – student’s mobility. This Key Action supports:
Mobility of students and employees: the possibility for students and teachers
Joint master’s degree: an integrated international training programs to provide a full educational scholarships to the best undergraduates throughout the world;
Student Loan Guarantee Masters: university students can obtain a loan under the program for going abroad to complete training in a master’s degree. Students must address themselves to the national banks or student borrowing agencies.
KEY ACTION 2 – Cooperation for innovation and exchange of best practices. This Key Action supports:
Transnational strategic partnerships, exchange of experience and know-how between organizations
Knowledge Alliances between higher education institutions and enterprises, which are aimed on encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity
Sector Skills Alliances supporting the design and delivery of joint training curriculum, programs and methodologies of teaching and learning
Capacity-building projects that support cooperation with partner countries in higher education and youth.
KEY ACTION 3 – Policy reform support. This Key Action supports:
European policy instruments in determining the transparency of skills and qualifications, support networks that promote cross-European exchange, training and labor mobility
Cooperation with international organizations with highly recognized expertise and analytical capacity (such as – OECD: Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and CE: Council of Europe)
