International Competition of Student Scientific Works “Black Sea Science”

On March 1, 2021, the first stage of the International Competition of Student Scientific Works “Black Sea Science”, which is held annually on the basis of the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies under the auspices of the Black Sea Universities Network and ISEKI-Food Association, has been officially finished.

The competition was held in the following fields:

– Food science and technologies;

– Economics and administration;

– Information technologies, automation and robotics;

– Power engineering and energy efficiency;

– Ecology and environmental protection.

The jury of the Competition included 106 specialists, including 62 from 19 foreign countries: USA, Germany, Switzerland, Angola, Benin, Czech Republic, Italy, China, Turkey, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Poland, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Belarus.

At the first stage of the competition were 239 works from Ukrainian and foreign institutions have been submitted, including from 40 universities in countries such as Germany, Canada, USA, Costa Rica, Brazil, India, Pakistan, Israel, China, Turkey, Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Moldova, Bulgaria.

At the first stage of the competition there was a review of scientific papers by members of the jury and their online discussion in meetings held from 22 to 26 February 2021. In each field, the finalists have been determined (25% of peer-reviewed works according to the rating). They are invited to participate in the second stage of the competition.

The second stage of the competition will begin on March 15, 2021. Finalists are invited to present their work at an online conference. Based on the results of the presentation and the participant’s report, the jury decides on the winners.
